How to know which side the fuel door is on a car ?

Earlier it was not easy to determine the side on which the fuel tank cap is present on a car while sitting inside the car. This idea lately hit the manufacturers that they can also put an indicator inside the car which will make it easy to know that on which side is the fuel door is present on a car.

Easy trick to know the presence of fuel door on a car :

Fuel caps can be present on either side of the car and many times it is unpleasant task to come out of the car at a petrol pump station to check on which side the fuel cap is present. However, there is one easiest way with which you can check on which side the fuel tank is present while sitting inside the car. There is one icon on the fuel gauge which directs us about the location of the fuel tank, this little fuel tank dispenser symbol have a small triangle shaped representation present on one end of it, this triangle tells about the location of the fuel tank.

If this triangle shaped structure pointed towards the right side then the location of fuel tank is on the right side of the car and if this icon is pointed towards the left then the fuel tank is located on the left side of the car. The fuel gauge can give you readings in digital or in analog way however both fuel level indicators have this little fuel tank dispenser symbol along with which a small triangle shaped icon is present on either side of the little tank dispenser symbol and by this you can easily determine the location of fuel door.

Preference of people :

Different driving practices are performed in different parts of the world for example in India people drive on the left side. Similarly, in Australia , Japan people practice driving on left side. However, there are many countries like USA that drive on the right side of the road. For different practices people wish different preferences, people who drive on right side wish to have their gas cap cover location to be on the left side whereas people who drive on the left side wish to have gas cap cover on the opposite side i.e. on the right side.
